Are you a pet-lover: Yes

What are your hobbies: Read books, learning new skills and willing to learn.

Why did you choose to become a domestic helper and what motivates you to work abroad: Because I need money for my family and my future. I want to send my child to college so that she can achieve her dreams

Why did you choose to work in Singapore and not other countries/Mengapa anda memilih bekerja di Singapura dan bukan di negara lain: Because in Singapore , I can learn new skills and I can take some small courses like elderly care, dementia care, computer courses and more.

What do you like about Singapore: I like Singapore because its weather is similar to my country’s. I can't stand extreme weather and winter.

Describe your day at home, from waking up to sleeping: Wake up, wash face, brush teeth. Wake children up from school and prepare them. Take them to school. After that tidy up the house. At 9 o'clock, wake up the second child and prepare for school. After taking to school then go home and cook lunch for the children. I cook according to ma'am's instructions then at 11.45 am, I pick the children up from school. After that I go home and bathe, feed the children and so on. At 2 o'clock the oldest child comes home and because the second child can already take a bath by himself, I just have to prepare his needs. Then prepare to serve his lunch, let him rest or play. I clean up a while because my boss's instructions is to wash clothes after the children come home from school so I wash their clothes after they come home from school then dry them etc. As the second child that I took care of is a special child so I have to take extra care of him and my boss told me to cook only once a day. They usually take a bath at 6 o'clock then eat. Usually sir will come home at 7 o'clock and ma’am usually comes home at 8/9 o'clock but sir and ma'am rarely eat at home. At 9 o'clock I prepare them for bed, like brushing their teeth, washing their faces, etc. Then change into their pajamas. After that, ma'am or sir will take over the children while I clean the kitchen. After that, I finish up, take a shower and rest.

What would you do and where would you go on your day off: I will go to Bugis, Master Training International, Eunos Care Academy Singapura, Paya Lebar or Pasir Panjang CDE to volunteer.

Do you have any children? If yes, how do you feel about being away from them for extended periods: Yes I have. I will miss her so much but I must do this because I do this for her future.

What are your family's expectations of you when you work in Singapore: Send money every month to support my mother and my daughter financially and and call them every 2 days.

What are your financial commitments back home: I want save money to make a small business so I don't need to work as a domestic worker again.

What difficulties did you face working in Singapore: Sometimes I find it difficult when the kids are angry and they start hitting me and cry so bad. I also feel like crying when the child cries and doesn’t want to stop.

Why do you think the employer should employ you and not the others: I will try my best and I am willing to learn as long as you are willing to teach me.
